Documentary:

This 20-minute documentary takes you behind the scenes of the Smoke Screen project, where you will get:

  • a sneak preview of the making of the Smoke Screen ads
  • insight into why the girls got involved with this program
  • to hear candid views on what makes girls smoke and how hard it is to stop

Resource Guide:

The 21-page Teacher's Guide that accompanies the doc includes background info, links and lesson plans. It delves into issues like:

  • what motivates girls to smoke
  • tactics used by tobacco companies to target girls
  • the health impacts of smoking

Download (6.5 megabytes .PDF) a sample of the Teacher's Guide in PDF format.

This doc and guide are currently being used in high schools throughout BC.
